How does it work?
Advancements in technology have given us the tools to detect genetic defects associated with inherited cardiac conditions in as quick as __ days. It all starts with a quick and easy saliva swab collected from the patient which is then sent from the provider to our laboratory. We then isolate genomic DNA from the swab using the most widely trusted Thermo-Fisher DNA Extraction kit on the market. The individual’s DNA then undergoes a process known as Next Generation Sequencing. This revolutionary genomic technology allows us to sequence a patient’s DNA and target a broad coverage of cardiac genes with disease implications. Once sequenced, our team provides your medical provider with a comprehensive report about the patient’s genome highlighting all the genes associated with inherited heart diseases, and their genotype, to provide the most advanced level of patient care available.
