Respiratory Pathogen Testing
What's Bugging Your Patient?
Supreme Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP)
RESPIRATORY PATHOGEN PANEL
Everyone is at risk of a respiratory infection. Respiratory infections are a leading cause of emergency room visits and hospitalization ranging from pediatric neonatal population to nursing home patients. Infections are predominantly caused by viruses but can appear similar to or overlap bacterial infections. The SUPREME Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP) tests for a comprehensive set of 20 respiratory viral and bacterial pathogens in about an hour. The RPP identifies the most common viral and bacterial pathogens that cause respiratory tract infections with nearly indistinguishable symptoms. The rapid and accurate identification of the probable causative agents help determine how healthcare providers choose to treat a respiratory tract infection. Our multiplex PCR platform for respiratory pathogen infections targeting a 20 syndromic panel all in 1 test process provides fast, and comprehensive results for specific pathogens to help differentiate between these causing agents. Our rapid testing provides an overall 97.1% Sensitivity and 99.3% Specificity. The panel now includes SARS-CoV-2 guaranteeing a 98.4% PPA and 98.9% NPA. Our PCR technology is more sensitive than POC Antigen Assays and conventional cultures. This means your patients can receive the right treatment the first time, potentially leading to higher patient satisfaction and lower costs.
Benefits of Testing:
check_circleReduces ICU days or length of impatient hospital stays
check_circleDecreases duration of antibiotic use and unnecessary antibiotic therapy
check_circleReduces unnecessary drug exposure and adverse events
check_circleDecreased time in isolation
check_circleShown to reduce chest radiographs in both children (19%) and adults (20%)
check_circleOverall helps prevent unnecessary procedures
“An Asthmatic Patient like myself, it took a physical physician visits, chest x-ray, and multiple testing methods to detect one bacterial target. Initial suggest virtual appointment delayed the process even more. It took three days to detect and diagnose me with “Walking” pneumonia caused by mycoplasma pneumonia. The process was initiated with a required PCR COVID test before a physician could see me and then an in-person physician visit with physical testing, chest x-ray and then diagnosing.”- Angelica Rodriguez

Speed to Results
SUPREME Medical Laboratories' state of the art equipment can dramatically reduce time to diagnose compared to traditional testing methods.
Who is Most at Risk?
Anyone can become infected and ill with these respiratory pathogens. However, young children, the clderly, immunocompromised or weakened individuals (including those with chronic disease, cancer, or in intensive care) are most likely to suffer serious and potentially life-threatening pneumopathy.
The Right Test, The First Time.
